On photographic safari in the southern parts of Botswana, near Kang. This was not exactly the best day of our lives. Me, and the wife walked a total of 17 kilometers in the Kalahari sun after getting lost. Then had to wait hours for somebody to pick us up. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy with my sense of direction and decision-making! Eventually, after the cavalry arrived, and on our way back to the tent camp, we were met with the most amazing sunset. After some nudging from Louis, the Ranger, I reluctantly agreed to take a sunset shot. We were really that tired! Louis, turned the Land Cruiser towards a lonely young Leadwood Tree. Photographing the lonely tree with back-lighting produced a few spectacular shots, but this one is my favourite. I only recognised the face in the clouds looking down on us, after shooting it.  It seems that God was looking down on us. For me it was a quiet message that no matter where we find ourselves; even in the harshest environment, He lingers around...

Super shot Danie.  There's not a chance I could have walked 17km - well done Jenna.
