The little train who said I think I can....

The other night I was watching something on TV ,and then this idea came to me. Sometimes it feels as if we are like the little train that went up the hill. It is very steep and the load is heavy .Sometimes it even feels as if we are not moving on at all.Just like the little train, but the little train kept on saying I think I can,I think  I can.....Eventually  he made it to the top of the hill, BECAUSE he had a passion for what he was doing.I believe that if you set you mind to something and you persevere you will reach your destination. There are many skill to perfect and lessons to learn in Photography. Take it step by step , day by day and DON'T give up. Just like the little train...

We learn far more from our mistakes than from our successes. The trick is not to become discouraged by failure but to pick ourselves up again and to persevere. That's how we grow and get better. (This weekend I shot for half an hour in full sunlight before realising that my ISO was still set for low light from the previous shoot. Next shoot this is something I will check first before taking a single shot. A painful lesson but one I won't easily forget.)

I agree. Winston Churchill said to the British army waiting on the beaches of England before they went to liberate France. Never never never never give up. Never give up.

It's like eating an elephant:  bit by bit.

Thanks for sharing Susan. Was talking in class about the same thing yesterday, how we need to persevere.
