Some of the modern buildings found between the old ones in Berlin. It is a city of juxtapositions.

Thanks Luke :-)
Congrats Nadia on SOTW.
Thanks Luke, thanks John, and thanks Danie for SOTW :-)
A great shot to start with but your post turned it into superb. So crisp and dramatic. Beautiful!
Love it, Love it, Love it.........Love it.
Thanks Danie. When I saw these buildings, I fell in love. Yes, I used Luminosity Masks. I have Lumenzia which makes working with them a lot easier. I added contrasts to Mid 3, and then worked on curves with masks over the separate buildings to bring out the lights and darks. Probably took me around half an hour. Unfortunately I can't paste all my settings, but this is what my Luminosity mask group looks like in Photoshop:Just for education and interest to everyone, this is what can be achieved in Post processing:
Image one - straight out of camera and converted to black and white:
Image 2: After quite a bit of work in Lightroom alone, before going to Photoshop for the final touches of Luminosity Masks:
And then of course the final picture is what was uploaded, after applying Luminosity masks in Photoshop.
One of my favorite architectural images in a long time on Photo Critic, which earns you a well deserved feature! Would appreciate if you could share a bit more about your post editing, and whether you've used luminosity masks, and how long it took you to work the tones.
