ISO100, 10mm, f22, 30sec, ND 4 filter, Tripod.

My first ever long exposure shot. Taken near Winkelspruit Beach in 2013, only released now. Lightroom edit, applied Auto, added contrast, a little vibrance, split tone, and tone curve, converted to Black and White.

I don't know why, but the toning doesn't work for me. I would prefer this as pure black and white, or maybe a subtle blue tone, with the contrast increased. There is a reddish tone, and red is an energy colour, which doesn't fit the intended mood of the image.

The tones are a bit muddled and you need to increase the contrast. With some proper dodging and burning, I think this image can be so much better.
