I took this picture of my daughter playing on the beach, with the intent of creating a series of my children. I used a slow shutter to get blur, low ISO and small aperture to blowout the people on the beach and to put focus on the subject - This photo was taken around 10AM in bright sunlight.
Canon 5D3, Canon 70-200L@145mm,1/6sec,f32, ISO50. PS was used to boost colour

I agree with Danie re the highlights. However the composition of the child in a colourful cozzee not in the centre but off to the left works for me. I feel that last wave near her should have been highlighted more colour wise. Lovely

Great storytelling image and yet another good composition. I understand your sentiment in creating a high-key image, but the highlights are just too burnt-out and I find my eye wanting to escape the scene just too quickly.
