Hi Bianca,

As a whole, I think you really did well. Achieving good low key shots with dramatic light and mystery. I like them!

  • Shot 1. I am not sure if you wanted to achieve the highlight on the left cheek? The fact is, that the exposure on his cheek seems just too bright. Fill should not be harder than key (normally). I do like the shot nevertheless. Showing too much white of the eyes though.
  • 2nd Shot. Fairly small thumbnial, but from what I can make of it, it is great!
  • 3rd & 5th Shot. Great. Well done on creating dramatic stuff.
  • 4th Shot. Need to lift the exposure slightly....

Keylight: octobox on model's left and softbox as fill on his right from behind.  Is the light on his right cheek acceptable?

Keylight: softbox on model's left and placed a strobe directly behind his head for seperation against the black background, no fill light on this one

Keylight: Octobox on model's left, Fill light: Softbox on model's left (shining from the back towards model.  Also placed a silver reflector on a little table right below model's face to eliminate harsh shadow under his left eye.
