Good news!! I managed to negotiate a much beter rate for our accommodation at Monate for the 4 day 5 nights Wildlife photography Safari as they want our business. The price per person sharing is no longer R11500-00. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to improve your Wildlife photography for only R8750-00 per person sharing. Secure your seat now by paying a deposit as I will only accommodate 6 photographers. Go onto photo critic's main page to book for this safari. Hope to see you soon! - Bruna

To all our Wildlife / Nature photographers- there is limited space available on our Monati wildlife safari in September. I would love for our Photocritic members to have first option. It is time to pay your deposit to secure your place.

Hi Nadia, thank you for sharing this us. I FULLY agree with you on this one. They don't care about anyone els and will actually park in front of you....totally blocking your view. I am leaving for the Kruger on Monday and I will collect one of the newspapers, forgot what it is called, at the entrance gate. Maybe worthwhile doing a write up about this kind of behavior in there. Nevertheless, you still got a Cool shot

Spent a few days in Kruger, and came across this leopard. Unfortunately, we were joined by two trucks from a safari company who had no respect for the leopard and just wanted the best spot. The leopard clearly wanted to cross the road, but the safari vehicles went to stand right in front of him / her. A lot of growling eventually ended in the leopard running into the bushes with its prey. I have to admit, the ever increasing presence of these disrespectful safari vehicles is making Kruger a less and less attractive option for our bush breaks.

The start of a new challenge for me – got my husband involved and we invested in a Drone.  Had numerous crash landings with the simulator. A good friend who have learned the expensive way, suggested we buy a toy drone to practice with first, a lot cheaper to crash. During practice time with the toy drone, the dogs, cat, and myself ran away from the chaos as far as possible...very dangerous stuff..believe me!  What an experience!!!.  I am now glad to report that he finally managed to get a perfect takeoff as well as a perfect landing again with the Drone.  Still a lot to learn as far as the editing of drone footage is concerned. Will share our experience when possible on our Group page..

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Johan van Rensburg for giving me this most valuable field guide to African Mammals (second edition) by Jonathan Kingdon.  Johan attended my wildlife workshop at Ngomo Safari Lodge and he is a brilliant wildlife photographer himself. Thank you so much Johan!  I really appreciate it very much!
